We all have our person. You know the person that you can go to at any time of the day. The person that gets you. The person that can just look at you and know how to help you.

Well, I have that person. My number one person is Jesus. I’ve been calling on Jesus so much lately. I decided to give him a little break.

Who is your person? I have people in my life that I can go to and know that they have my best interest in mind. See I have a person that tells me the honest truth. When I ask “Does my butt look big in this dress?” She gives me the honest truth! Her words aren’t meant to hurt me. She just doesn’t sugar coat anything. I need that honesty in my life.

I have another person that loves to solve problems through shopping. The funny thing is she is the one doing all of the shopping. So I am not sure how that is really helping me. But I love her. She’s my person and she makes me laugh.

Now you are probably thinking that you only need one “go to” person. But this is Copher’s Community we are talking about. We are the exception to the rule.

I have another person that will respond to my text immediately. Offer some advice and encouragement. Although this person is in Michigan. She is an amazing mother, wife etc. And she always has the wine ready when I see her.

Don’t get me wrong. Your spouse or partner should be your person. I think it is also important to have a tribe of friends that you can depend on. I remember being so lost and alone one night. Everyone that I called didn’t answer or wasn’t available. It forced me to face my fears and I survived.

I know that I don’t have all of the answers. I want to be able to give back to all of the people who have stood by me in my life. I hope that I can be “that person” for people someday in the future.
