Poker Face

I struggle with my facial expressions lately. I can just feel my eyes rolling and my mouth twisting to the side.

Whatever I’m thinking just magically appears on my face. Then I struggle to put on a fake smile and wonder to myself which is worst? This fake smile that people know is fake or the honesty of my facial expressions?

I’m not a gambler and can’t play poker with the high rollers. I wouldn’t know a bad hand in poker to save my life. When I think about real life and the cards I’ve been dealt, there was never an option to fold.

I couldn’t put two cards back and ask for two more to replace them. That’s what they do in poker right?

All I could do was stare at the cards in my hand and decide if I would bluff my way through or play the hand of cards that I was dealt.

That’s our reality in life sometimes. You may have to bluff your way through and walk by faith, even when you don’t know what’s coming next.

Giving all of your cards back isn’t an option. You were dealt this hand because you can survive it and be victorious in the end.

Fix your face and play cards!

  1. Omg how I wish I could be expressionless most of the time!! It’s an art, and I think really good Police Chiefs and people who deal with a lot of idiots have mastered it best.

I need practice. I got teens here so now’s a good a time as any to start. 😃😂
