Yesterday, really made me think about how we all need to slow down. The fast pace of the city excites me. I admit I do miss it. But since I have been living in Delaware I have really slowed down. Not by choice.
It seems like everyone around me is in rush. They are rushing for Thanksgiving dinner, and counting down to Christmas. What ever happened to enjoying the moment. We all need to slow down and enjoy life. Take time to enjoy nature, take a walk, spend time with family or call a relative that you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
We are all in a rush to get where? To work? To school? You don’t have to be busy every minute of the day or every night of the week. You can stay home and be at peace. Enjoy the little things that some people take for granted. Don’t rush time by. Don’t say I can’t wait for my children to grow up. Because in the blink of an eye, they will be off to college.
If you don’t get everything done in one day, don’t panic. It can wait until tomorrow. Many of us put our health in jeopardy because we are in a constant rush. I know firsthand from experience how stress can damage your health.
So stop rushing. You just might miss your blessing because you are moving too fast. Enjoy life one second at a time.
