Don’t Lose Hope

There’s a song by Fred Hammond called We’re Blessed.  If you have never heard it you should listen to it on YouTube.  It will truly bless your soul. My favorite lyrics are  “Late in the midnight hour, God’s gonna turn it around.  He’s going to work in your favor.” You can’t help but sing that three times and not have a smile on your face.

I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to bed with a heavy heart. With prayer requests that I asked God for. Now I realize that some of the prayers were not meant for me.  But I couldn’t see how my current situation would turn into a blessing at that time. Take my divorce for example.  I had no idea that after getting divorced and moving to Delaware that our lives would change dramatically. We have been truly blessed. Before we moved, I could not take it one day at a time. I had to take it one hour at a time.  Because anything more would have pushed me over the edge.

Recently, I was believing God for a miracle for a situation in my life. I had to make some hard choices and these decisions would impact our lives.  My situation looked hopeless.  My vision was cloudy. I almost let fear and worry take over.  But I remembered the lyrics. “Late in the midnight hour, God’s going to turn it around.  And that is exactly what happened. When I woke up the next day, that mountain had been moved out of my life.  It didn’t happen immediately but God worked in my favor.

Just when your situation is at the lowest point possible.  That is when you have to believe that all it takes is split second for things to turn around in your favor.
