When you don’t get the job that you applied for. Everything happens for a reason. When the guy doesn’t call you back after the first date. Everything happens for a reason. When your team loses the championship game. Everything happens for a reason. When you apply to college and don’t get accepted. Everything happens for a reason.
What scenario can you add to my list? I could list several more but I think that you get the idea. Mommy would tell me this when I was younger. At first she would sit me down and explain the “why” it didn’t happen. As I grew older. When disappointment came we would say in unison. Everything happens for a reason.
Do you agree? I know it is hard to accept, but I truly believe this. I have had major disappointments in life. And at the time, I couldn’t see that it was really a blessing in disguise. Our steps are ordered by God. Never forget that.
When you knock on a door and it doesn’t work out in your favor. Walk away. If you keep standing in front of that same door, you are bound to miss the greater blessing that is truly meant for your life.
Is it behind door number 1, 2, or 3? Oh, how I wish it was that easy. You don’t know why that door didn’t open or something that you desired was blocked for you. The reason is because it was not going to bear any fruit, love, or hope for you. Be thankful that God blocked it. I would rather wait for an opportunity or blessing so amazing and not settle for what is behind door number 1.
It is normal to be sad when we don’t get the desires of our heart. Use that stumbling block or experience to allow you to imagine all of the great things that are coming your way.
I know you don’t see you how you are going to make it now. I know you think you are all alone and it is not fair. Maybe it’s a financial situation, a failing relationship, health concern, employment issue, depression or something else.
Trust me that you will notice when things begin to work in your favor. And it will be revealed to you what your true purpose, journey, road, job, or relationship really is. And why it is meant for you and only you.
Everything really does happen for reason.
Yes, there is a reason and a season for everything.
