Just Be You

Are you comfortable with who you are? Or do you wear a disguise to fit in with the people around you?

A few weeks ago, I wasn’t happy with myself. I recognized my flaws and imperfections. I had to finally face them so that I could move on with my life.

Autism has taught me many things. But the most important thing autism has taught me was to just be you! I watch Sydney. Her personality and smile draw people to her. I watch Harrison stand by his beliefs and he is a role model for others to follow.

There are areas of my life that I need to change. I am working on that daily. But I won’t change to fit your picture of who you want me to be.

I am not perfect. Accept me for who I am. Or keep walking.
