Daddy and I would watch Taxi when I was younger. My favorite episode was when Jim was taking his driving test. He kept asking his friends, “What does a yellow light mean?” They kept telling him, “Slow down.” Jim was obedient and repeated the question several times asking the question slower and slower.
I need to be like Jim and slow down. There’s no rush and I’m missing some valuable experiences because of my need to rush. I challenge you today to slow down. It doesn’t mean you aren’t working hard or doing your best. It means you are taking care of yourself and enjoying the life God has given you.
I love the fast pace in New York. Just because everyone else was in a hurry. I wasn’t. I was observant. And I had no problem with that.
Slow down and see how your view of life changes.
