A few weeks ago I spoke with a publisher and she told me in a very nice way that I wasn’t Nicholas Sparks or a best selling author. I thought to myself I know, I’m Brooke Copher and I’m in a category all of my own.
I’m not sure if I consider myself only a self help author or not. Currently I’m writing my “autism book” and have started a draft for a children’s book. I don’t want to be a one hit wonder either. There are characters that I would love to bring alive in a fiction novel. I have a lot of stories to share.
So what kind of author am I? Do I have to confine myself to one genre? Can I write from the heart and see where this path leads me?
As I prepare for my first book signing event and select the chapters I want to read to my guests, I feel encouraged and motivated to continue my writing journey. I want to be Brooke Copher, author, blogger, autism mom coach, and motivational speaker.
Until then I’ll continue the journey of finding a publisher and mastering kindle formatting, because I’m old school and love to hold a book in my hands but I’m in the minority.
Thank you to everyone that’s on this journey with me. Thank you for buying my book on Amazon and leaving a review. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me.
❤️
