It’s The Middletown Mommy Blogger

I am somebody! You should tell yourself that every day. Believe it and others will too. We all want to feel important. We want to know that we are valued and respected. Some of us need that feeling more than others.

Recently I was with a friend and we were waiting on a table. I opened my journal to quickly write down an observation. When the manager approached me and said , “Are you…?” Before she could finish her question. I could tell she thought I was someone else. I quickly replied. “Yes, I’m The Middletown Mommy Blogger.”

She gave me a hug and immediately took us to a table. I turned to my friend and whispered. “I just made that shit up.” Now, I am thinking. Let’s run with this.

I wasn’t being dishonest. I live in Middletown. I am a mommy. I am a blogger. I just decided to blend it all together to make it sound good.

Today’s blog is a reminder that we all have our own identity. Some of us wear many different hats. You are leaving a legacy behind. How do you want to be remembered?

When you walk into a room you give off a certain vibe. You also attract what you put out in the universe. We forget how valuable we are in the craziness of each day. We forget how to treat others at times.

Always remember who you are and where you came from. Repeat after me, I am somebody.
