Enough with keeping up with the Jones’s or the Kardashian’s. I’m trying to keep up with me, myself and I. If I learned anything this week it’s that what’s for me is for me and God’s timing isn’t my timing.
I stopped worrying about what other people were doing and focused on keeping my own house in order. In my own yard there were weeds that needed to be pulled and bushes that needed to be trimmed. Not so I could see what was happening all around me. I needed to focus on my own grass, my own life, and my own home.
My neighbor’s grass might be greener but maybe they worked harder in their yard than I did. Who am I to judge or to compare? We all need a reminder to adjust our focus and to worry about our own backyard first.
